Danger To SOCIETY?! [Shiverguy Chapters 19 - 25]

Werewolves are cute and cuddly? FALSE they are a danger to society and MUST BE DESTROYED. Or…really? :D

These are my thoughts from chapters 19 – 25 of Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. Be sure to subscribe for more vlogs about Shiver.

    Kaleb,
It's taking you forever to review this book and it's a quick read. You must be really swamped and busy!

    Kaleb,

I just started the book last week and I'm already farther than you are! I'm almost finished, actually. In fact, I'll probably finish sometime tonight, even though I have a ton of homework, or Tomorrow, even though we have End of grade testing. If I finish early I can read! Don't worry though I won't give you spoilers and I'm sorry for bragging I know your busy, I just couldn't resist. lol... Anyway, I'm pretty new to the "Shiver" fandom. I only read the book because I knew you'd be reviewing it. I must say you have good taste in books because so far I <3 it although I don't get the point of one thing... Nevermind. Anyway, It's still hard to believe that your both the twilight Guy and the Shiver Guy now. I'm so used to you being the Twilight Guy, the maker of awesome, random, and ranty Youtube videos, and author of Bran Hambric (I <3'd Shambles and miss him so much! *tear* Wow, I really must write a fan fiction in tribute of him...) that the whole Shiver Guy thing still feels sur-real. I guess I'll slowly and eventually get used to the idea as you post more Shiver Guy videos. (which I can't wait for more of... by the way) BTW, did you know that "Shiver" is actually the 1st book in a trilogy? The 2nd book "Linger" will be out July 20, 2010 (or next Augest according to the people who aquired rights to all 3 movies) and "the 3rd book "Forever" will be out sometime in July, 2011. Maggie also wrote "Lament" and "Ballad" which I now feel I must read since I <3 both Shiver and Fairies. (My room is decorated with collectable fairy Dolls and mini Fairy Statuettes and I try and make it look Fairy Tale-ish and teenage girl-ish) Anyway, Unique Features (assoiated with Warner Brothers) aquired the rights to make all three books into movies.*Squee!* Anyway, this news appears to be ages old (the date the movie info was posted on is: 30 September 2009 @ 10:56 am) but since I'm new to the "Shiver" fandom (I still haven't found any good fan sites. Shiver Guy doesn't count because you already said your not going to post information or news about upcoming events in the Fandom and because your not really an obsessive full-fledged fan yet.) this is all new to me! I'm sure you already knew because I'm sure you did your reasearch before jumping into yet another fandom. You wouldn't want to get in over your head. :) At least I hope you did your reasearch because it's good to be informed. Anyway, this is really long and I need to get back to doing/starting science homework so bye Kaleb!

I would not want to be a were-wolf (at least not the "Shiver" kind) so I'd consider it a curse because it would interupt my life. Family life, school ife, job life, love life, and human life... just life in general!

    ***SPOILERS*** beyond this point:

And besides I wouldn't want to eventually loose myself and become a wolf all the time. That would bite (pun intended) because I would want to retain my humanity and not become a wild and feral animal. I'd want a normal with the people I live. (friends, family, etc.) Also, a wolf's life span is significantly than a humans. Usually about 8 to 10 yrs. The record life span was 20 in captivity and I fear death so that just wouldn't work for me. I wonder what Shelby's issues were that caused her to enjoy being a wolf. she seems to be just plain crazy but I wonder what made her that way?

    -----

As for cute and cuddly or danger to society? Eh... Maybe somewhere in the middle. More dangerous than a regular wolf but less so than say, a terrorist. I think that you shouldn't provoke them or go into their woods and make sure to stay away from them. Then one should be fine! Also it depends on the wolf. Some of them are crazed like Rachel, (I think that was the girl who went on a rampage and had to be killed) Paul, (Didn't Sam say he was off and possibly the one who went after Grace and wasn't this (his being off) confirmed by Beck) or Shelby. Others are normal or as normal as they can be, like Sam.

I would find it absolutely miserable to have to be a werewolf! Ugh! It'd be terrible! Having to miss your friends and family, and not being sure when or if you'd come back! Also having to miss CHRISTMAS! That'd be quite miserable!

All I have to say is this: it's about time!
  • hello.girl!
Do mine eyes/ears deceive me? Is't possible there is an update after weeks of checking?
That's enough fake Shakespeare for now :) Yay! I thought you'd given up on Shiver, and I was so sad. Now I'm so happy you took time out of your (probably very busy) schedule to update - I love hearing your thoughts on the book, and contemplating your question of the day, although at the moment I don't have an answer for this one.
Can't wait for another video (preferably a little sooner than this one?).

omg!!! finally!!! lol at this rate you will probably finish by the time the other book comes out.
but i bet your busy and barely had time to read it. so i guess we have to understand.

And as for the question of the day i would have to agree with Sam because being a wolf keeps you away from everyone you love, once you hit those years when you stay a wolf forever that must really be depressing.

Finally!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how you havn't read the entire book already.... I couldn't put it down. Finished it in less than 24 hours...
